REPORTS TO: Facilities Director
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The General Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant. Conducting under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Essential Job Duties:
1. Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
2. Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
4. Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
5. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
6. Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
Other Duties:
1. Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
2. Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
3. WHEN QUALIFIED, assists the Director of Plant and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
4. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
5. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

NOC Technician 1 - 6months Contract to Hire - Columbia, MD
- need 3 people. 2 consultants will be needed for night shift (8pm-8am). The night shifters will be on 3 * days and off 3 * . The shift starts on Sunday and Wednesday
Job Description
The NOC Technician is responsible for Event and Incident Management for the Client enterprise production environment and end user community. The NOC technician will also be responsible for Mainframe job processing, printing, and backups. As a NOC Technician you must possess a strong dedication to quality customer service, excellent follow through, attention to detail, and a drive to excel as an individual and team.
Position Responsibilities:
MAINFRAME
o Processing of production jobs
o Printing reports for timely delivery to clients
o Daily and weekly system backup
NETWORK/SERVER SERVICE
o Triage server and network related events and ensure that the Operations team resolves these incidents within the establishedSLA.
o Perform tier 1 troubleshooting tasks and execute standard changes.
o Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, service calls are placed in a timely manner and tracked to assist with vendor management.
o Assist with scheduled server tape backup tasks.
o Perform server builds and imaging.
o Perform file and system restores.
o Review and act on server logs entries needing attention.
END USER SERVICE
o Provide tier I and II Incident Management support for PC issues and network connectivity.
o *Image* new hardware (laptops and desktops) with the corporate standard image.
o Install / uninstall software from user*s machines as indicated via helpdesk tickets.
o Use the Service Desk ticketing system to document symptoms and status information as well as assign an applicable priority.
o Act as a customer advocate / liaison between senior IT staff and communicate with the customer throughout the ticket process up to and including resolution.
PRODUCTION SERVICE
o Complete responsibility for all computer production deadlines. This includes timely resolution of all problems or issues associated with each job request to ensure on-time delivery.
o Develops and ensures compliance of job execution and verification of all media/report output prior to delivery. Must ensure complete and proper turnover.
o Develops and ensures compliance of print quality and control procedures for all print production.
OTHER DUTIES
o As assigned.
Skills/Requirements
High School Diploma.
Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Possess superior telephone etiquette and the ability to deal effectively with end users, peers, and management even under extremely stressful conditions.
Possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret helpdesk tickets and emails.
Possess the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
Relate in a positive professional manner with end users and coworkers.
Interact well with different personalities.
Make decisions and judgments based on standard procedures.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time.
Demonstrate the ability to determine when to escalate issues based on SLA or severity level.
Demonstrate PC proficiency using common software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.
Demonstrate basic understanding of enterprise data center concepts such as Windows, networking, server administration, and the Internet.
Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills techniques and responsibilities.
Flexibility to work non-standard work hours where applicable.
Ability to lift boxes which weigh up to 70 pounds.
Must be reliable related to schedule and recurring tasks.

Technicians will have increasing levels of responsibility as they move up in grade. Technicians are responsible for mechanical maintenance, service calls, and in-house repairs throughout the facility. They perform work in mechanical maintenance trades and perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. They also make periodic or special inspections of equipment to ensure operability and to determine necessary repairs. They may work from rough sketches and drawings. They must also understand, and abide by, applicable cGMP requirements.
